Revolution Youth is a group for young people in Years 7-12 that meets every Friday night during the school term. Each week we have fun activities planned, there’s usually a pretty good feed, and we have the opportunity to explore questions about life, faith and the world around us. This is a great opportunity for young people to connect with others their age, make some memories and talk about the deeper stuff of life. We believe that there is more to life than what the world has to offer, and would love to unpack what that might look like for you. Whether you’ve come along before, or never been to a youth group, we would love to have you join us!
When: Friday nights – 7-9pm
Where: 18/252 New Line Rd, Dural
Who: Anyone in Years 7-12

What does a night at Revolution Youth look like?
Food and Hangs
We start the night off at 7pm with some snacks and time to chat, catch up after the week and connect. This is a chill space, where young people can choose to eat food, chat or play with the different activities around the room.
Games/Activities
Each week we have a theme, and we usually play some games related to that theme. These games go for about 30-45mins – some games can be active, others can get you thinking, and most of them will get you using your hands and working in teams – some examples of what we’ve played in the past are pool noodle hockey, trivia, hide and seek, volleyball, ping pong games and building a tower out of straws and tape!
Announcements
After our games, we’ll all sit on chairs facing a stage where someone will get up and spend a few minutes talking about what’s coming up at youth – this is a great chance to hear about all the great stuff we have planned!
Chats
At the end of each night we will spend some time talking about something from the Bible. This could be a talk that someone has prepared, a video that we watch, someone reading a story about Jesus or a chance for young people to ask some of the questions they might have about faith and life itself.
After this, we break into smaller groups to connect and discuss the topic further. The aim for these groups is to be a relaxed, easy space where young people can have fun exploring these ideas together and share what they think without feeling judged. We then wrap things up at 9pm!
Each week we generally follow this same pattern – click on the box to read more about it!
Common Questions (click to find out more):
Who’s there?
As part of the structure of the night, we have Youth Leaders whose job is to help run the program as well as connect with the young people that join us. These leaders are all over 18, are friendly, great to talk to and have all completed child protection training (and have Working with Children Checks). More information on our safe church policies can be found here
What do I bring?
Coming to youth is totally free. Feel free to bring a water bottle if you want it, otherwise we usually have water and cans of soft drink (for $1) available. Sometimes when we have dinner together we may ask you to bring a few dollars to help pay for the food, but even then, if you forget we aren’t too fussed!
What do I wear?
There’s no dress code for youth, although we do recommend enclosed shoes for the games – otherwise, feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in!
