Check out our great children’s programs catering from ages 0 to Grade 5! For each age group, our Life Kids team and carers are committed to provide a safe and exciting environment where children learn about Jesus, develop healthy friendships, and have a whole lot of fun! We have a dedicated team of adult and teenage volunteers who love kids and love to serve God.

0-2 years Beehive

Beehive is buzzing with activity each Sunday morning at church. We have a room with fun toys, music and DVDs for our beautiful babies. Parents can leave their babies with trusted carers and enjoy the morning service – Beehive starts at 9:15am each Sunday. Please provide a snack and a drink for your little one (no nuts please).

3-5 Years KidsBiz

Kindergarden - Year 5 Planet Kids

Planet Kids is our school aged Sunday morning program. Here the children are taught about God through bible-based teaching and discover what it means to have a relationship with Jesus themselves. The Children are also connected with a leader in a small group with others their age. Children join their parents for singing at the beginning of our morning service, then go to Planet Kids at the end of singing. Children attending without their parents are most welcome and will be accompanied by a leader at this time.

MyZone

MyZone is run twice per year for 5 consecutive weeks, it replaces our regular Planet Kids Ministry. It is all about teaching our kids the things of God through their own interests. Children can enroll in a course of their choice and enjoy being creative and building relationships with other children. It is advertised in the community through the local schools and all school aged children are welcome.

Sakura Sisterhood

Sakura is the name of the Japanese cherry blossoms that display their beauty for such a short time but show us the meaning of flourishing, growing and being unshaken in all seasons so that we may grow into the beautiful garden God has designed us to be. A sisterhood is a body of women united by a bond of sympathy to show concern, support, companionship and mutual female esteem. The Women’s ministry team is not just about putting on events and functions for you to attend. It is about coming alongside each other in all the seasons of life.

Our Ministry team expresses their love through:

  • Authentic relations to women, based on acceptance of each other as God’s unique creation.
  • Support for women in the church family.
  • Providing for physical needs, via the Sakura Sisterhood in financial and practical ways.
  • Annual Women’s Conference providing fellowship and discipleship.
  • Relationship and friendship building events within the school terms.
  • The Pathway to Purpose Course; offering an opportunity for women to discover how to ‘learn at the feet of Jesus’ during each season of life.

A safe place to share our life stories, within a supportive and caring community. For more information please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Life Men

God has great things in store for the men of CLCC. Life Men is the ministry area where activities specifically designed for men are provided. These activities are designed to create opportunities for men to build relationship with each other, enjoy social and recreational activities together and to learn more about what God intends for them as Christian men.

We aim to have something scheduled once every couple of months, with an intermingling of:

  • Active recreational activities [kayaking, white water rafting, golf, etc]
  • Sedate recreational activities [lawn bowls, golf, movies, spectator sports – cricket, football, motor sports, etc]
  • Social activities [BBQs, breakfasts, etc]
  • Guest speakers addressing topical subjects
  • Men’s conferences or camps

Our aim is to have a wide spectrum of events so that men with all range of interests [within reason!] have the opportunity to be involved. For more information please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Life Groups

Life groups are all about journeying with Jesus together in community. "Day by day as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread in their home, and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people (Acts 2:46-7)

The idea is simple: You gather a group of people (anything from 3-8) and you meet up weekly or every two weeks and talk about how you are doing in your relationship with God. That’s it! Just nominate a coordinator for your group and register with our care pastor John Nowlan. We already have some existing Life groups so if you would like to join one please talk to John also.

Life groups are the primary point of care at CLCC and a place to serve and show love to one another. Here are some suggestions for starting, and sustaining a Life group:

  • Using a published Bible study to explore God’s Word. If you need guidance talk to the ministry team about your study plans.
  • Use as a discussion starter ‘Life Inspiration’ available as a weekly email, based on the messages on Sunday.
  • Invite a non believer and share your faith.
  • Meet up with Life group members at your workplace.
  • Turn your craft group or playgroup into a life group.

Creative Ministry

At CLCC our Creative Ministry is all about supporting and assisting the people in our church and in our community to experience the love and power of the Gospel through different creative avenues.

We have a team that is dedicated and passionate about media. We have a fantastic Creative Service Team. We have just started a drama group. And we know that God will continue to dream bigger dreams for this ministry.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry: the place for Jesus to minister healing, release and freedom.

The Bible says in James 5:16 that "the effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much." God works when we pray, we can testify to this in our church.

We have a few facets to Prayer at our Church:

  • Monthly Church Wide prayer held at CLCC Ministry Centre on the first Saturday morning of each month.
  • Prayer Chain: for instant prayer cover we have two chains and are starting a third.
  • Weekly Prayer email: responding to the prayer request listed on the weekly Welcome cards.
  • Sunday Morning Prayer team: a team of people who delight to support you in prayer.
  • Intercession: two groups currently waiting on the Lord, one on Sunday afternoon and one on Thursday evening both meeting fortnightly.
  • Prayer Ministry: this is a service to the community that CLCC provides.  We have confidential teams who delight to minister the healing power of Jesus in prayer to bring wholeness to any broken areas in your life.

We are excited as we explore the call of God in our Church to be a healing Church. We know that prayer is and will continue to be a growing and blessed ministry as Jesus ministers to us all through one another.

Missions

At Community Life Church we are a missional church* That means we GO to make disciples of all nations and we start with our neighbours. We are all missionaries carrying the Good News in word and action whatever we do in life. We are sent out!

We are salt and light in our workplace, our communities, and schools carrying the compassion of Jesus into those places. We also believe in taking a stand against the injustices and evils in our world to bring the mercy and truth of God into every environment. So we believe that we can shine the truth of Jesus right in our own backyards.

We also serve those far away. At CLCC we have built a relational ministry with a number of national churches in the country of Cambodia for over 6 years. Through these Cambodian churches we support ministries, children, and projects to serve this nation. If you would like any more information on this please contact our Coordinator of our ministry in Cambodia, Graeme Shephard.

A number of other missions in addition are supported through our missions giving program; Student Life, a Campus Crusade for Christ ministry, Young Life-Belarus and Ambassadors for Christ International. *A missional church is called to make disciples of all nations, starting with our neighbours. We carry the Good News in word and action whatever we do in life. We are ‘sent out’.(Matthew 28:19)

As the ‘Salt’ and ‘Light’ in our workplace, communities and schools we carry the compassion of Jesus in those places. (Matthew 5:13-16) We take a stand against injustice, evil, sin in our world. (John 17:14-16)

Care Ministry

“Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Do not to forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” Heb 13:1-2.

The Care ministry is the expressive ‘face’ of Community Life Church. Those who are called to this ministry in our church see themselves as expressions of the three facets of our purpose as a church. We show this by:

Welcoming:
We see each person who has been brought to us as significant and valued. Our desire is that they leave our presence encouraged and with a desire to return to us again.
Proclaiming:
Every need is known by God but we often must take the initiative to dis-cover what physical, emotional and spiritual needs are unmet in people. We seek to meet these needs in appropriate ways. Our Visitation team for Men and Women functions as an extension of Pastoral Care is not only for the members and friends of CLCC, but to the ‘stranger’ as well.
Healing:
We recognize that healing comes in many different ways, gradual healing as well as miraculous. The healing of Body, Mind and Spirit can occur through various recognized avenues that our society offers. However, ultimately, we believe that God’s power is present to heal and we acknowledge the Holy Spirit is operating when we meet together as His Body, the Church. Within this last year, a program ‘Celebrate Recovery’ has been introduced to this Church, which addresses the hurts, habits and hang-ups which cause crippling outcomes for people. For many to break free from the past a process of discovery through a biblically foundational 12 step process has produced a miracle in many, many lives.

    Worship Ministry

The worship ministry at Community Life Church is about championing the purpose to which we were all created, worshiping the one true God, and seeing the expression of that worship in lyric and melody. It is about bringing all of ourselves and lifting up songs to reflect the attitude of worship in our lives. We believe that when we gather together to worship, its more than just music and singing, it involves lifting praise which God desires to inhabit. It’s about opening up our hearts and welcoming the Holy Spirit to speak, challenge, change, renew and heal us all so that we can give an even greater amount of glory to His name!

The worship team is made up from a diverse group coming from both the morning and the youth and young adults services. In an effort to continuously improve our craft we have a practice before each service and the whole team get together every six weeks to find unity in our purpose and learn new songs. In addition to this we also have a song writers group that meets bi-monthly and hold an annual worship conference to delve deeper into God’s word and seek His purposes for His ministry.

    Celebrate Recovery Ministry

Celebrate Recovery is an outreach ministry to our community. It is built around the Biblical fact that we need each other in order to grow spiritually and emotionally and addresses all types of hurts, habits and hang ups. Hurts come from all different experiences like suffering from grief, divorce, loss, anger and abusive situations. Hurt also comes from the habits and hang ups of people who struggle with alcohol, drug and pornography addictions as well as co-dependent relationships that drain you.

In 2009, 11 facilitators finished their training and are now successfully moving ahead in their recoveries in leading 5 separate groups.  Over 30 people started on a journey together in 2010 and we are seeing lives being transformed by Jesus.

We trust in a promise in Jeremiah 30:17 - I will give you back your health again and heal your wounds.
